3D Printsmith LLC is a fantastic partner for precision scanning and CAD work — Sean was responsive, transparent, and went the extra mile to get our project dialed in perfectly. Turnaround was quick, communication was clear, and the final files fit like a glove. Fair pricing, skilled craftsmanship, and genuine care for a startup’s needs make this shop an easy recommendation for any future prototyping or reverse‑engineering jobs.

As chairman of the Building and Grounds Committee for First Church in Cambridge I engaged Sean and 3D Printsmith to create an accurate, 3D digital record of our 5' high Cockerel (Rooster) weather vane, which had been dismounted for safekeeping. The Cockerel is a notable, 250 year old piece of Boston/Cambridge history and is a significant national artifact. It was created by Shem Drowne, one of America's first copper smiths. Sean had to do the measurements inside of a secure, museum quality storage facility, working around others who were also examining the cockerel. He was very easy to work with and created a stunning and accurate 3D model that will serve our Church well.

Hired to make three iterations of invention drawings. Sean took initiative to add his own ideas and to change some of mine, resulting in much time and money wasted. He does have skills and resources, but needs to listen better.

3D Printsmith and Sean O'Reilly assisted me with a very fun project for the World Chess Hall of Fame in St Louis. He scanned a few of my large wood sculptures, and manipulated the digital files to create a mini version of my life size chess set. The full color scanning created full color prints that even captured the wood grain textures. Incredible work on a tight schedule and he met all of the deadlines with clear communication and a can do attitude. I highly recommend this very talented, skilled person who is also a very human being to work with.

I am very pleased with Sean's services and my project's end result! Sean is incredibly knowledgeable, communicative, and professional. I contacted 3D Printsmith with a specific project in mind - I wanted to scan a small, intricate ring to be able to reproduce it in a different metal. Sean was immediately very responsive and after assessing my project's needs and viewing the ring, he assured me that his 3D scanning services could help me get it done. I was very pleased with the resulting 3D files I received. The ring we used was small and had many tiny details. Sean took extra steps to make sure all the detail of the ring was captured and even handled some additional 3D post-processing work to digitally remove the ring's gemstones. Lastly, I was directed to a wealth of local and online resources that could help me move my project along after the 3D scanning process. Receiving these resources was incredibly helpful and showed me Sean's genuine care, knowledge, and passion for the 3D print space and for helping his clients achieve their project aims. Overall, Incredible skill, service, and value.10/10 would recommend!
