Reviews
Good Evening fellow UTA students, I am here to discuss my encounters that was very disappointing. I've been to the fab lab multiples and had moderate to minimal customer experience, but unfortunately my encounter on the 23rd was a new low. I was using the laser printer and was on my last pass with only 3-5 minutes left even-though it was near closing time. I told the lady if thats okay and she was kind enough to let me finish. About 2 minutes later, she comes by and rude-fully stops my print and turns off the printer and leaves. Without an explanation except for just "we're closed." I understand they were closing down but she could have told us respectably told us earlier that it was not possible. Now I wasted my time and board I was cutting on. I pay thousands of dollars to this fine institution to use these services yet was treated unjustly.
Great resource on campus. Always a good time making something in the lab!
Lots machines to 3d print or lazer cut, sewing machines, eyc. Lots of crafting / making options. Very helpful staff.
I went in today to pick up a print and the print failed. I still had to pay regardless even though a “staff” member told me that the print should be fine even when the supports were failing. I trusted their word and they failed me.
The staff is very friendly and will help to use any and all of the equipment they have to offer.
